Web Accessibility

2008.02.04

The goal is to improve the accessibility of our work for people using a wide range of user agent devices, not just standard web browsers. This is especially important for people with physical disabilities which require such devices to access the Web.

Reading experience can be enhanced by chossing the link »day« at the bottom of the page for a different color contrast and/or increasing the font-size on your display wwhich modern web browsers allow by using the appropriate menu option.

Shortcuts

Without mouse, touchpad or touchscreen you can still navigate by using a keypad. On windows based computers just press ALT (CTRL on mac) and the following number.

1 home | 2 work | 3 about | 4 news | 5 contact

With your TAB key you can cycle through all input fields (search or e-mail form). Our search is ajax enhanced – just type your query and wait a second (don’t forget to activate javasript execution).

Web standards

This website is based on drupal for logic, xhtml for semantically structured content, css for representation and jquery javascript for unobtrusive usability enhancements. We advocate web standards. Please validate our work by following these links:

Accessibility audits

A growing number of countries around the world have introduced legislation which either directly addresses the need for websites and other forms of communication to be accessible to people with disabilities, or which addresses the more general requirement for people with disabilities not to be discriminated against. Is your website ready?

cialog provides website accessibility audits. These audits, a type of system testing, identify accessibility problems that exist within a website, and provide advice and guidance on the steps that need to be taken to correct these problems.
